PPSC Syllabus and Exam Pattern of Various Posts
Every Year Punjab Public Service Commission, Patiala releases a huge number of vacancies. This is one of the most prestigious departments of Punjab offering respectable job positions.
Various Posts that are filled by the PPSC Department are as follows:-
- Veterinary Officer
- Cooperative Society Inspector
- Senior Inspector
- Head Master
- Principal
- Head Mistress
- Unani Medical Officer
- Primary Education Officer
- Horticulture Development Officer
There are lot more posts offered by the Punjab Public Sevice Commission. For filling up these posts, the department organizes a competitive exam.

PPSC Upcoming Exams: Detailed Pattern
The commission holds a competitive exam for the post concerned.
Selection Process:- Competitive Exam/Personal Interview
PPSC Common Exam Pattern:
- The test comprises of 300 marks (120 questions of 2.5 marks each) and an
interview of 40 marks. - The total time allotted for the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- There will be no negative marking in the written test, for questions wrongly
answered or questions not answered. - Final result shall be prepared on the basis of the grand total of the marks obtained by the Candidates in the Written Competitive Examination and the Interview.
For Veterinary Officer Exam:
- 100 questions out of 120 questions will be of the subject as per syllabus.
- Rest 20 questions will be of Logical Reasoning, Mental Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
- Out of them, at least 10 questions will be of Logical Reasoning and Mental ability.
For Principal, Head Master/Head Mistress, Block Primary Officer Exam:
- 80 questions out of 120 questions will be ‘Logical Reasoning and Mental ability’.
- Rest 40 questions will be of General knowledge and Current Affairs.
For Horticulture Development Officer Exam:
- 80 questions out of 120 questions will be subject i.e. Horticulture
- Rest 40 questions will be ‘Logical Reasoning and Mental ability’, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
- Out of 40 questions, minimum of 20 questions will be of ‘Logical Reasoning and Mental ability.
For Unani Medical Officer Exam:
- 100 questions out of 120 questions will be subject as per syllabus
- Rest 20 questions will be ‘Logical Reasoning and Mental ability’, General Knowledge and
Current Affairs. - Out of 20 questions, a minimum of 10 questions will be of ‘Logical Reasoning and Mental ability’
For Sister Tutor Exam:
- 100 questions out of 120 questions will be subject as per syllabus
- 10 questions will be from General Knowledge and
Current Affairs. - Rest 10 questions will be of ‘Logical Reasoning and Mental ability’
